PYW made me feel like Cassie's nervous finger-tapping before she meets with Dean Walker, each finger a different color: innocent, bold, nervous, righteous, and terribly sad. I felt both humbled and spurred by Cassie's anger, which Mulligan played with such nuance against the joy and friendship she shared with her coworker and boyfriend (played by Cox and Burnham, respectively). In the end, I hope this film makes other viewers' fingers start tapping along with Cassie's as we perform the difficult yet calculated tasks of recognition, solace, and accountability.
